Dear Taiji Friends,
In the evening of July 20th, the Office of Community Partnerships (OCP)of Montgomery County is organizing its annual World of Montgomery event at Povich Field, which features Mariachi band, lion dancing, KID museum, heena artists, a baseball game, and of course, a Taiji Demo. Yes, this is the event we participated last year and are invited to join again because folks were very excited to see Taiji at a ball game.
Location: Shirley Povich Field ( near Cabin John Regional Park) at 10600 Westlake Drive, Bethesda/Potomac.
Time: Entertainment starts 7PM, Ball game 7:30PM; Monday, July 20.
Game: The Bethesda Big Train versus the Vienna River Dogs
The admission is free if you email Mr. Bruce Adams, Director of OCP, and tell him your name and how many tickets you would like to have. Tickets can be picked up at the gate. See details in the email below.
More important, TFCGW is forming a demo team to promote Taiji to ours fellow Americans. If you are willing to be part of the TFCGW demo team, please let me know.
Thanks,
Hui

If you want your child to learn what it means to be a 21st Century Global Citizen (or you just want to have a fun summer night), the place to be on Monday July 20 is Shirley Povich Field. Here’s what we’ll have for you: a mariachi band, Chinese Lion dancers, a taiji demonstration, activities by the KID Museum, henna artists, fortune cookies, AND a baseball game!
