The City of Rockville will organize a Chinese New Year Parade on 2/16/2013. Taiji Club is invited. All taiji freinds are welcome to join. Time: 10:00-1:00 Saturday 2/16/2013. Location: 410 HUNGERFORD DRIVE ROCKVILLE, MD, 20850 2月16日，星期六，中国农历葵巳年即蛇年正月初七，马里兰州洛克维尔市将举办农历春节游行庆祝活动，届时洛城市长和许多主流社会风云人物都将到场。华盛顿同乡会联合会率领华人社区多个社团再次全方位参与，邀请大华府太极友社参加游行并表演太极拳。 这是一次向主流社会展示中华太极文化的绝佳机会，参加者多多益善，望所有拳友前来助兴。 集合时间：上午10时。 集合地点：洛克威尔市Bank of America和“巴山蜀水”中餐馆（410 HUNGERFORD DRIVE ROCKVILLE, MD, 20850）之间的停车场。 停车地点（和集合地点略有不同）：金山超市（300 N. 2012-03-17： 3月要闻March News 我社更名为“大华府太极友社”，理事会成立并通过章程，符旭辞去副社长，增补廖宏为副社长。详见“太极论坛”中的“大华府太极友社简介”。
The club changed its name into “Taiji Friends Club of Greater Washington (TFCGW)” and established the Council, which passed the Bylaws. Mr. Steve Fu has resigned from the Vice Chair position. Mrs. Helen Liao has become a Vice Chair. See the “Introduction of TFCGW” in the “Taiji Forum” page for more information.
2012-02-21: 武术大师白文祥即日起任我社顾问 Grand martial art master Mr. Wenxiang Bai will be the Consultant of our club 2月18日，不久前移居大华府的中国著名武术家、原陕西省武术队总教练白文祥老师应邀到QO高中观看并参与和指导了我们的练拳聚会。之后，白老师欣然同意担任我社顾问。白老师完全同意我们注重24式、85式和32式剑的理念。时间容许时，他乐意不定期到QO高中义务辅导我们练拳。我们鼓励我社拳友到白老师那里投师学艺。白老师教授24式、42式太极拳，32式、42式太极剑，陈式56式太极拳，赵堡和式太极拳，其它武术有：形意拳，八卦掌，武当太乙玄门剑，以及八极拳等。热烈欢迎白老师加盟！ Mr. Wenxiang Bai, China’s Nationally-Renowned Martial Art Master and the former Coach in General of Shaanxi Provincial Martial Art Team, has happily accepted our offer to be the Consultant of our club. QO高中练拳的拳友请注意： 1、上周六，有位拳友10点以前在我们的练拳场地练剑，被录像记录下来，我们受到校方警告。请大家务必遵守时间，十点以前和12点以后不要在场地练拳练剑。12点以后，请大家在15分钟内退出场地。我们应在11点54分前开始打结束前的一遍24式太极拳，请大家看好时间，互相提醒。Last Saturday, one of us practiced sword before 10:00 am in our classroom and was recorded by the school camera. The school sent us a warning notice.
