Taiji at 10-Year Celebration of Confucius Institute at Maryland (CIM)
参加马里兰大学孔子学院十周年太极表演
Established in 2004, the Confucius Institute at Maryland (CIM) is the first Confucius institute in the United States. In the past 10 years, CIM has become an important window for people in Greater Washington areas to understand China, Chinese language, Chinese people, Chinese culture, Chinese history, Chinese arts, Chinese philosophy and literatures, and much more. The “Confucius Institute Day” is to celebrate CIM’s 10th Anniversary. As one of the cultural demonstration programs, Taiji friends are invited to perform Taiji at this celebration.马里兰大学孔子学院成立于2004年，是美国第一家孔子学院。十年来，马大孔院已成为大华府地区人民了解中国的重要窗口。为了庆祝马大孔院成立十周年，马大孔院将举办“孔子学院日”。作为该活动上中国文化展示的一个项目，马大孔院邀请太极拳友在庆祝活动上表演太极。

Hornbake Plaza is the square in front of Hornbake Library (Building # 147). If you turn onto Campus Drive from US Route 1, Hornbake Plaza is on your right at the 1st stop sign after you have passed the big “M” circle.

Grand Master Wenxiang Bai, China’s famous Wushu master and coach, will be among the participants from TFCGW. 太极友社参演人员中包括中国著名武术家、太极友社名誉社长白文祥。

大华府太极友社参加本次活动小结
因为这次活动是在星期五上班时间，加之事先马大方面对本次活动所提供的信息不足，动员参加难度大。许多拳友都是请假前来参加。
因陈恳社长、何华副社长等都要上班，本次活动委托郭代俊副社长协调。郭老师为之附出了巨大劳动，她和许多拳友逐个联系，动员大家参加。自己以身作则，不仅自己请假前来参加，而且丈夫吴廉也请了假，专程去接李德印老师、方弥寿老师、李纪泽老师、王华安老师。她与11点半到达，站在马大校园大“M”路傍为大家发停车牌，一直等到近1点。
我社参加人员有：白文祥、李德印、方弥寿、李纪泽、王华安、高广领、胡小鹏、粱兴明、李婕、田养民、潘启元、Victoria Hagan、麦廷禧、郭代俊、吴廉等15人。
田养民老师早晨6:30离开家,骑自行车到bus站,乘bus到Shady grove地铁站，乘地铁到Rockville,步行,9点到达Rockville公共图书馆,在那里等待到11:30,乘太极友社副社长李婕的车,12:50到马大参加孔子学院10周年太极表演。
白文祥大师不讲条件，不提要求，言必行，行必果，克服困难前来参加，令人钦佩。
李德印老师享誉国际，他和方弥寿老师前来参加，是对太极友社和这次活动的巨大支持。
李纪泽老师和王华安老师本来应去老年活动中心教授太极拳的，响应太极友社的号召，推掉了其他事前来参加。
李婕副社长本应上班，她客服困难，接田老师，送李德印、方弥寿、李纪泽、王华安。
本次活动的现场组织和管理比较混乱，我们去后基本上无人招呼，李德印、白文祥这样的大师都没有组织者来问候一下。白老师登台表演，无人报幕，无人介绍。我们许多拳友都觉得我们请去的太极大师、我们为这次活动的奉献似乎未能得到活动主办方的足够重视。
我们去了，为庆典表演了太极，完成了我们的任务。

感谢音韵太极陈凤凰老师和她的弟子们再次和我们并肩战斗！
