笃行[注1]陈式太极社非盈利，无宗教、政治倾向，秉承天下太极是一家理念，任何人都可以参加。以辅导、习练陈式太极拳为主，兼顾其它；任何太极及健身气功，只要有人愿教，有人愿学，都可习练；鼓励拳友之间互为师生，不拘一格，以各自喜欢的方式联谊、交流、切磋；欢迎初学者参加，真诚帮助初学者进步。我社为全体成员所共同拥有，每个成员都有责任让我社越办越好。以下名称可在非正式文件中使用：笃行太极社，（大华府太极友社）笃行分社，（希望中文学校）马大校区太极社。
每周六下午在希望中文学校马大校区[注2]（简称马大校区）有练拳聚会，参加者每学期向马大校区交纳场地费。在马大校区练拳的时段和地点，我社隶属马大校区，接受马大校区管理。我社亦可称“希望中文学校马大校区太极社”。马大校区之外，我社独立运作，自主安排其它活动。参加马大校区练拳不是必须的；无法参加马大校区练拳聚会者，只要愿意与其他拳友交流、交往，亦可加入我社。

[注2]从1993年成立到2013年的20年中，希望中文学校马大校区一直在位于College Part的马里兰大学校园，2013年秋迁到High Point高中，仍在马大旁边，仍叫马大校区。
Assiduous Chen-Taiji Club (ACTC) has two other official names: (1) HCSCP Taiji Club and (2) TFCGW Assiduous Chapter. We belong to the Hope Chinese School at College Park (HCSCP) while we are practicing Taiji every Saturday on the site of HCSCP at High Point High School. We independently arrange all other activities outside of HCSCP. ACTC is non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization open to all people.
There is a small fee for Saturday Taiji classes that is collected by HCSCP to help cover the rental of facilities. Our Taiji coaches and assistants are volunteers. All of us are the owners of our club. Everyone is responsible for making our club better.
ACTC is a chapter of the Taiji Friends Club of Greater Washington (TFCGW) and abides by its bylaws. We are a chapter of TFCGW solely for the benefit of our members. When you join ACTC, your email address will automatically be entered into the TFCGW email list. Entering the TFCGW email list means that you will be informed of important Taiji performances, seminars, Taiji-related community cultural events, Taiji master visits, etc. Please let us know if you do not wish to enter the TFCGW email list. Your wish will be respected.

The club has Taiji practice meetings every Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the cafeteria of High Point High School at 3601 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. We open when HCSCP is open. To check the school calendar, please visit the HCSCP website at www.hopechinese.org/hcscp/Calendar.htm for a school calendar. Our Saturday Taiji session will be cancelled if P.G. County public schools are closed due to bad weather. Listen to public media or contact the club service members regarding closures due to bad weather.
